Allina Medical Clinic-Cottage Grove Open House to Show Off Expansion
COTTAGE GROVE, MINN. 12/21/2009--The newly expanded and remodeled Allina Medical Clinic – Cottage Grove will be on display for all to see during an open house, January 9, 2010, from 1 to 3 p.m.
“We look forward to showing off our expanded and remodeled clinic,” said clinic manager Mary Rahman. “We now have much more space that will allow us to handle the health care needs of a growing community.”
The clinic has been expanded from 33 exam rooms to 63 exam rooms, and added a treatment room and surgical procedure room. The overall interior of the clinic has also undergone renovation to provide a comfortable, attractive environment for patients and their families. The addition adds nearly 11,000 square feet of much needed space to the existing 26,500 square feet facility.
The expanded Cottage Grove clinic is designed to create a community centered delivery model that gives local residents access to full range of services and providers in their community. “We want to build a clinic in Cottage Grove that supports an environment conducive to the growth and expansion of the areas community needs.” Rahman said. “We wouldn’t have been able to complete this project without the support and leadership of the community.”
The January 9 open house, which is free and open to the public, will feature:
- free health screenings;
- cookies and refreshments;
- prize drawings;
- tours of the clinic; and
- meet and greet with physicians and care staff.
The Allina Medical Clinic – Cottage Grove is located at 8611 W. Pt. Douglas Road South, Cottage Grove, near the Highway 61 and Jamaica Avenue intersection.
