Buffalo Hospital hosts a free Sleep Seminar
Buffalo, MN 04/16/2007--As part of their DAAN (dā on) program, Buffalo Hospital is offering a free Sleep Seminar and Continuous Positive Airway Pressure (CPAP) Clinic on Monday, April 30 from 7-9 p.m. at Buffalo Hospital Conference Center. The Seminar will begin at 7 p.m., with CPAP Clinic starting at 8 p.m.
Women are more likely than men to have difficulty falling and staying asleep, and they experience more daytime sleepiness on a weekly basis, according to the National Sleep Foundation. Men and women are invited to join Courtney Whitney, DO, board-certified sleep specialist at the Sleep Center of Buffalo Hospital and Allina Medical Clinic in Buffalo and Cokato , to learn about gender differences related to sleep disorders, including environmental impacts; restless leg syndrome; and hormonal influences related to PMS, menstrual cycles, pregnancy and menopause.
