Buffalo Hospital names Chris LeDuc as Foundation director
BUFFALO, Minn. 11/09/2007--Buffalo Hospital is pleased to announce that Chris LeDuc has joined the hospital as executive director of the foundation. LeDuc comes to Buffalo Hospital from United Way of Central Minnesota where she served as resource development director. “We’re excited to have Chris join Buffalo Hospital Foundation,” says Judie Rose, Buffalo Hospital Foundation board and search committee member. “Her leadership experience in cultivating community relationships and ensuring successful fundraising campaigns will serve Buffalo Hospital Foundation well as we continue to be a catalyst for innovative services and facilities to improve community health.”
“I am thrilled to join the Buffalo Hospital team,” says LeDuc. “Throughout my professional career, I have had the pleasure of raising money for a variety of non-profit organizations. It will be a privilege to help ensure that exceptional health services remain part of what Buffalo is known for.” LeDuc said she intends to spend her first 90 days on the job getting to know Buffalo Hospital and the communities it serves.
LeDuc earned her bachelor’s degree in English/Writing with a minor in Human Relations from Saint Cloud State University in St. Cloud, Minnesota. Prior to leading Central Minnesota United Way’s development efforts, Chris served the College of Saint Benedict for five years as annual giving director. Her work resulted in more than $10 million dollars for the college’s annual fund.
On a personal note, Chris and her husband, Adam Whitten, will make their home in Buffalo. Together they enjoy fishing, international travel – last summer they visited Siberia – and spending time with family. Adam holds a PhD in atmospheric physics and works as an adjunct physics professor at Saint John’s University.
