Fishing tournament raises $11, 145
Buffalo, MN 09/23/2008--The second annual Buffalo Hospital Foundation Fishing Tournament raised more than $11,000 on Sept.20. Funds will help launch Project Lifesaver in Wright County and purchase the remainder of the Automated External Defibrillators (AEDs) needed for area first responders.
"The community really showed their support for these life-saving initiatives. We sold 84 bobber sign sponsorships and doubled the number of fishing teams and proceeds from the silent auction compared to last year," says Karla Heeter, executive director of Buffalo Hospital Foundation. "We are on track to bring Project Lifesaver, which uses state-of-the-art technology to track lost children and adults dealing with Autism and Alzheimer's disease to Wright County this fall."
