Anne Guiral, CNP, joins Allina Medical Clinic – Coon Rapids
COON RAPIDS, MINN. 02/23/2009--Allina Medical Clinic – Coon Rapids welcomes Anne Guiral, CNP (certified nurse practitioner), to its staff. Guiral is part of the clinic's family medicine team.
Guiral graduated from the University of Minnesota with a bachelor's of science degree in nursing. But before her career turned to nursing, she started her professional work with Allina in management. In that role she shared many interactions with nurses and doctors and discovered a desire to pursue nursing. She left Allina to pursue a nursing degree and then worked as registered nurse for five years.
"The opportunity to serve a diverse population helped shape my interest in pursuing an advanced nursing degree with a family focus," Guiral said. "I earned my master's degree from the University of Minnesota where my studies were focused on family practice."
Guiral says that while she is interested in all aspects of the life spectrum, she says she is particularly passionate about preventative healthcare, women's and adolescent health, diabetes and cardiovascular health.
"I chose to return to Allina because of their utilization and support of nurse practitioners as well as their fundamental commitment to serve all areas of healthcare and promote healthy lifestyles," Guiral said. "I guess you could say I've come full circle, and I couldn't be happier to join the family practice group at AMC-Coon Rapids."
