New Ulm Medical Center to conduct limited H1N1 flu vaccine clinic
NEW ULM, Minn. 11/07/2009--New Ulm Medical Center will conduct an H1N1 flu vaccine clinic on Monday, Nov. 9, 2009 at 5 p.m. The clinic will go until 8 p.m. or until the supply of vaccine has been exhausted.
The clinic will be held in the third floor hospital auditorium. Please use the Fifth Street North auditorium entrance and park in the auditorium parking lot at the rear of the hospital.
H1N1 flu vaccine clinic criteria
The clinic is open only to established patients of New Ulm Medical Center who have a medical record through Allina Hospitals & Clinics.
To receive a vaccine, patients must meet one of the following criteria:
- pregnant women;
- persons who live with or provide care for infants less than six months or age; and
- children and adolescents aged 4-18 years who have medical conditions that put them at higher risk for influenza-related complications, including cardiac conditions, neurological/muscular disorders, asthma requiring daily/rescue medication, downs syndrome, cystic fibrosis, cerebral palsy, diabetes or other endocrine disorders.
Patients will be screened and conditions verified through their medical record. Patients will be immunized if they meet one or more of the above criteria.
No appointments will be taken. You will be registered and your insurance will be billed for the administration of the vaccine.
