New Owatonna Hospital is first to use new Allina website
OWATONNA, Minn. 10/16/2009--The new Owatonna Hospital is a technology powerhouse. It’s Minnesota’s first hospital to be built with an electronic medical record in mind. And with its opening today, Friday, Oct. 16, is unveiling a new website: www.owatonnahospital.com.
Owatonna Hospital’s website is part of www.allina.com, Owatonna Hospital’s parent company, Allina Hospitals & Clinics. Owatonna Hospital’s site is the first to launch with the new design. Allina intends to extend the design and functionality to its other ten hospitals, 100-plus clinics and other health services in the coming months.
"The new site has a new and fresh design based on visitor feedback that focuses on the key needs of patients," said Michael Nelson, Allina’s manager of Web and Interactive Marketing.
"For example, the new site will bring maps and phone numbers to the home page, along with easy access to features like patient pre-registration, hospital services, provider finder and visitor information."
Nelson says the site will also be better connected to the broad ranges of services offered by Allina Hospitals & Clinics. For example, people have better access to the wealth of health information and patient education Allina provides.
