10th Annual 'Tee One for Hope'
St. Francis Foundation Golf Tournament

Shakopee, Minn. 04/24/2007--If you are thinking golf you are not alone! Now is the perfect time to sign up for the 10th Annual St. Francis Foundation "Tee One for Hope" Golf Tournament, Thursday, June 21, 2007, at Stonebrooke Golf Club in Shakopee. What better way to celebrate the first day of summer and the longest day of the year than by relaxing on the course with colleagues and friends.

Registration for the 18-hole golf scramble begins at 8 a.m. with a 9 a.m. shotgun start. The tournament, which attracts participants throughout Scott and Carver counties, includes unique contests, hole activities, silent auction, raffle drawing, and opportunities to win team and individual prizes. The afternoon will conclude with a BBQ lunch and awards ceremony.

All proceeds benefit cancer care at St. Francis Regional Medical Center. Cancer care at St. Francis focuses on each and every patient, being sure to recognize his or her individual needs, including chemotherapy education, cancer resource center, palliative care, and services in our breast center and specialty clinic. While our patients are always the center of care, we are committed to recognizing both patients and their families who are directly affected by their journey with cancer. Individuals and their families receive a full program of cancer care – prevention and early detection, diagnostic tests and screenings, treatment, education and support.

"Generous community support and record player turnout continues for this event," says Carley Stuber, St. Francis Foundation Executive Director. "2007 marks the 25 year anniversary of the St. Francis Foundation, which was established in 1982 to help support St. Francis Regional Medical Center in providing high-quality health care in a healing environment. Events such as this allow us to live our mission and support individuals and families. We are very grateful to everyone involved."

Raffle and silent auction items are currently being accepted to support this cause. Corporate sponsorships are also available. Register early, last year’s golf event was sold-out. Cost of $130 per player includes a cart and lunch.

For information on sponsorship, donating items, or to register by June 8, contact Joan Fawcett, St. Francis Foundation Development Officer, at 952-403-GOLF (4653) or joan.fawcett@allina.com.
