St. Francis Regional Medical Center Wins Two eHealthcare Leadership Awards for Web Site

Shakopee, Minn 11/27/2007--St. Francis Regional Medical Center received two outstanding website awards St. Francis Regional Medical Center at a special presentation in Las Vegas during the 11th Annual Healthcare Internet Conference. The St. Francis site was selected from more than 1100 entries in the 2007 eHealthcare Leadership Awards Sites.

Judges looked at how sites compared with others in their organization’s classification. They also reviewed sites based on a proprietary multi-point standard of internet excellence. The best intranet site category, for example, had to pass muster on more than 60 factors.

St. Francis earned awards in the following categories for a hospital with fewer than 200 beds:

Best Overall Internet Site (platinum award). Factors considered include delivery of strong health content, interactivity, medical care support, integration with the organization's operations, as well as strength of Web design and ease of navigation.

Best Site Design (gold award). Is the Web design unusual, attractive, and engaging? Does the design facilitate access to key site information; provide strong branding and excellent usability? St. Francis Regional Medical Center is jointly owned and sponsored by the Benedictine Health System, Allina Hospitals & Clinics, and Park Nicollet Health Services.
