Buffalo Hospital to open new Sister Kenny Center in Albertville

BUFFALO, Minn. 04/16/2007--Buffalo Hospital is expanding access to the renowned rehabilitation resources of Sister Kenny® with plans to open a  new  location in Albertville, Minnesota.  Slated to open in June, the new  site will provide residents of Albertville, St Michael and surrounding communities with access to experts including physical therapists, certified athletic trainers, alongside a variety of physicians including orthopedics and sports medicine in one convenient location. The new Sister Kenny Sports & Physical Therapy Center will be located at 11091 Jason Avenue NE, which is kiddy corner from the St Michael/Albertville High School.

"The high school students and staff are thrilled to have our rehabilitation services so close to the school," says Jana Jordan, athletic trainer at Sister Kenny Sports & Physical Therapy Center and head athletic trainer at St Michael/Albertville High School. "Our new location is very convenient for student athletes who are injured or need follow-up care."

"Using a multidisciplinary approach to care for all kinds of athletic injuries (competitive and recreational), and other injuries including sprains and strains as well as work injury care (occupational health), we will work with physicians at the new clinics in St Michael (Allina Medical Clinic) and Albertville (Albertville-St Michael Clinic) to care for all your rehabilitation needs," says Chris Stone, physical therapist, manager of Buffalo Hospital's Sister Kenny services. 

"We're also planning to offer a biomechanical sports analysis to help patients better understand how they move and pinpoint ways to improve athletic performance," says Brett Oden, MD, sports medicine specialist and medical director of Sister Kenny services in Wright County.
