Lori Wightman elected to American College of Healthcare Executive Council of Regents

Lori Wightman, FACHE, has served as president of New Ulm Medical Center since 2002.

Lori Wightman, FACHE, president, New Ulm Medical Center, New Ulm, Minn., has been appointed to the Council of Regents, the legislative body of the American College of Healthcare Executives, which serves as the vital link between ACHE and affiliates by approving governance and membership regulations as well as promoting ACHE programs, services and activities within their respective areas.

Wightman will take office at the Council of Regents meeting March 8, 2008, during ACHE's 51st Congress on Healthcare Leadership at the Hyatt Regency Chicago. As a Regent, Wightman will represent ACHE's membership in Minnesota for the next three years.

Wightman has served as president of New Ulm Medical Center since 2002. Prior to this position, she was vice president of operations for regional health services at Allina Health System.

Wightman received her master's degree in Healthcare Administration from University of Colorado – Denver, and her bachelor's degree in nursing from Minnesota University – Moorhead. Board certified in healthcare management and an ACHE Fellow, Wightman is also a registered nurse licensed in North Dakota and Minnesota.
