Buffalo Hospital salutes the Bison
Buffalo, MN 03/27/2007-- Buffalo Hospital congratulates the Buffalo Bison Class AAAA State Champion boys basketball team for not only winning the State title on Saturday night, but for a winning season as well.
Buffalo Hospital and the Sister Kenny Sports & Physical Therapy Center support all Buffalo High School sports with certified athletic trainers (ATC) to ensure that players are safe and healthy.
"The team has overcome injuries throughout the season this year and accomplished an amazing goal," said Kris Savaloja, MS, ATC, who has worked with the boys all season long. "My job is to make sure we do all we can to prevent injuries, manage those that do occur and make sure that the appropriate rehabilitation or treatment is obtained for each injury."
Savaloja was on the bench with the team at the championship game on Saturday night, as she is for every game. "Of course I root for the team, but I watch it in a different way than most people do. I have to keep a watchful eye on all the players, constantly evaluating them and looking for team members who are not performing up to their usual standards due to an injury. They don't always tell me," said Savaloja. After the game, there is always time to celebrate. Savaloja, who rides on the team bus, said the ride home after this game was like no other. She, along with Buffalo Hospital, are proud to be a part of the winning team.
