Volunteering
If interested in joining, contact our volunteer services at 507-977-2778.
Since 1957, Owatonna Hospital auxiliary volunteers have been interested in giving back to their community. Today these volunteers provide support to various hospital departments, as well as the Pink Pantry Coffee & Gift Shoppe.
Volunteering is an excellent way to gain experience, discover new talents and make lasting friendships. In addition, the auxiliary raises funds for unbudgeted hospital items and scholarships for students in nursing and health-related fields.
Men, women and students (ages 17-18) who want to donate their time and talents can become a member. Your hours can be scheduled to meet your needs. We ask that you give a minimum of 24 hours of volunteering per year.
As an auxiliary volunteer you receive a discount in the gift shop on the day of volunteering and a discount at Owatonna Clinic-Mayo Health System Optical Department when you show your hospital auxiliary ID badge.
Volunteer opportunities are available in various hospital departments:

Homestead Hospice Volunteers
We rely on volunteers to help make hospice patients in the community and at the Owatonna Homestead Hospice House as comfortable as possible. We are looking for volunteers 18 years of age and older to give a few hours a week. There are numerous ways that a volunteer can help, such as providing respite care, being a companion or running errands for the family. Being a hospice volunteer enables you to help others at a special time in their life and experience a great deal of satisfaction.
